THE TOUR

Welcome to the heart of Corbett National Park — the legendary Dhikala zone, celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes and rich wildlife. Established in 1936, Corbett is India’s first national park and continues to inspire generations of wildlife photographers and nature lovers.

The Dhikala region, set deep within the park’s core, is an ideal place to witness the magic of the wild — from the iconic Bengal tiger to herds of elephants, leopards, and a spectacular variety of birds. The landscape unfolds with dense Sal forests, grassy meadows, and sweeping views of the Ramganga River — a haven for crocodiles, gharials, and countless species that flourish along its banks.

Access to Dhikala is through Dhangari Gate, around 18 km from Ramnagar. After clearing the entry formalities, you begin a scenic 31 km drive to the Dhikala Forest Rest House (FRH) — a journey that feels like a mini-safari in itself, often offering sightings of elephants, deer, and even the elusive tiger along the way.

Starts and Ends: Ramnagar

Day 1 – Arrival & First Safari
- Arrive at Ramnagar by 9:00 AM. Overnight travel from Delhi by train or private cab options available.
- Pickup/Drop from Delhi airport & Early arrival accomodation can be arranged at an extra cost
- Enter through Dhangari Gate and check in at Dhikala FRH.
- Settle in and relax before lunch.
- Enjoy your first afternoon safari in the Dhikala zone.
- Evening natural history and photographic storytelling session.
Day 2 – Morning and Afternoon Safaris
- Wake up to the forest’s dawn chorus and head out for an early morning game drive in soft golden light.
- Return for breakfast and unwind at the FRH.
- Midday break for rest, image review, photo discussions, and feedback sessions.
- Depart for the afternoon safari for more wildlife sightings.
- Evening Q&A session and wildlife discussions.
Day 3 – Morning and Afternoon Safaris
- Start with another early morning safari to explore and maximize photographic opportunities.
- Return for lunch and relaxation.
- Head out for another afternoon safari in beautiful golden light.
- Evening session with reflections and photography insights.
Day 4 – Final Safari & Departure
- Enjoy your final morning safari in Dhikala.
- Return to Ramnagar after breakfast.
- Group photo session and farewell.
